Marx and I in Central Park. We found a drum and a tambourine on a bench. We played them, then walked around the turtle pond. It was a beautiful, sunny day.

  • Voldie

Voldie took a trip planking on the TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension In Space) as he wanted to visit the old mayas and see if it was true that the world is going to end in the year 2012. Unfortunately, we don't know if he succeeded as he lost grip of the TARDIS. This certainly raises questions about his whereabouts, but we don't have any sure information about where he...

Voldie travelled on 2012-01-01 to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

  • Marx

Marx and I went sledding with some friends in Sun Valley, Idaho. He helped us celebrate our kitten's first birthday, on the day after Thanksgiving! On the way to Sun Valley we had to take an airplane and then a long car ride, which made our kitten meow a whole lot.

Marx travelled on 2011-12-17 to Sun Valley, ID.

Chistery is very loyal to those who are kind to him and put up with his incessant need to fly from one side of the room to the other. Afraid of water after witnessing a certain traumatizing event.

  • Lump

He loves art. He lost his leg in a surgery after cliff-jumping so now he is afraid of heights. He could see the whole earth cause he has so many eyes. Don't lose his leg or he will be steamed.

Lump was born on 2011-12-04 in Bainbridge island, WA.

  • Voldie

Voldie arrived in Seattle, WA just in time for rainy season... so we spent a lot of time indoors where it was safe and dry. He had Thanksgiving dinner with us, in his own plate, while wearing his brand new fancy shirt/dress ensemble (it matches his eyes, of course). He also kept me company riding to work on the ferry every day. I think he'll be very excited to head somewhere dr...

What It's All About

   1. Host a Sockonaut or create your very own
   2. Take it on an exiciting adventure and document it with a photo
   3. Send it on another journey to a friend or relative
   4. Follow your Sockonaut's travels and share stories on sockonauts.com

Sockonauts.com is a travelling sock adventure! You can craft your own sock creation, register it with the site, and send it off to explore the planet! The goal is to get some of them travelling all over the world, from China to Argentina, New Zealand to Spain. And, of course, to photograph every step of the way.

Received a Sockonaut?  Once you receive a Sockonaut in the mail, simply enter its 4-digit code in the box at the top of the page. You'll be taken to its profile where you'll be able to browse all the information about your 'Naut: where he or she has recently been, the distance already travelled, and even photos from its trips.

Then you can upload your own photo! But choose wisely: Sockonauts are picky tourists. They want to see what makes your town special. Any famous landmarks? An especially good deli? Birthplace of Abraham Lincoln? All perfect photo ops - but it's up to you!
